Ivy are three friends from London - Romy Brill Allen, Grace Dalli and Eliza Greengross. They’ve been singing, playing and writing music together for three years.
Between them they play piano, guitar, ukulele and saxophone, but their main instruments are their voices. With their beautiful harmonies they each bring a very different quality to the sound.
They are inspired by a huge variety of music: their influences include artists as various as Florence and the Machine, Billie Eilish, Lily Allen, Khalid, David Bowie, Solange and Lady GaGa.
The girls met at school where they charmed the judges to win the Battle of the Bands competition armed with nothing more than their new song, their voices and their ukuleles.
How do they sound? A mix of new music and covers, think Taylor Swift meets Ed Sheeran, creating upbeat, feel good music from the heart.
Singer/songwriter Rothwell, on the judges panel, said how ‘refreshing it is to hear a song written about your mates’ and Matt Tuck from Bullet For My Valentine said ‘brilliant, very sweet, very feel-good it was beautiful, the harmonies were a nice touch. I loved it, you put a smile on my face.’
