Updated Chair, Blanket & Bag Policies

Chairs & Blankets

If you’re bringing chairs and blankets into the Main Arena, please read & follow our full chair & blanket policy.

There will be busy times when chairs must be folded down and blankets removed for crowd safety reasons. Please listen to festival staff, follow signage and look out for on-screen messaging.

Please do not mark out a large area with chairs and blankets. Chairs must be free standing and not joined together by any means (e.g. cable ties or elastic).

There are walkways around the Main Arena which must be always kept clear of chairs & blankets. There will also be designated points within the Main Arena beyond which chairs, trolleys & blankets are not permitted at any time.

You may use your chairs in Strawberry Fields, Penny Lane and Electric Ladyland. Please ensure they do not cause any obstruction particularly around the entrances and exits of venues. For health & safety reasons at no time should they be used inside the Big Top or Electro Love other than in accessible viewing areas.

Bags

For security reasons when entering the festival site (Strawberry Fields, Electric Ladyland, Penny Lane and Main Arena) you may only bring small bags or day rucksacks. These must not exceed 40cm in height. This does not apply to the campsite where larger bags are allowed.

Trolleys and Tables

Accessibility customers, and those customers with children, will be permitted to bring a trolley into the Festival Site.

Please be aware that, during busy periods, stewards or security may ask for trolleys to be moved. As with chairs, they must not be taken beyond the designated points in the Main Arena. Please do not block walkways or accessibility routes and avoid entering busy areas with a trolley. We recommend the use of foldable trolleys, where possible, so that they can be packed away when required.

We appreciate your cooperation and understanding in helping us maintain a safe and enjoyable environment for everyone.

Tables are only permitted in the campsite.

Emerging Isle of Wight artist Fugo Kid secures coveted Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival slot following standout live final at Strings Bar and Venue

Five exceptional finalists; Willowfly, Georgia Nicole, Ruby, Jay Eatwell and Fugo Kid, took to the stage in front of a packed local audience and an expert panel of judges, all competing for a coveted performance slot at the legendary Festival.

Blending Hip Hop and Jazz influences into a distinctive and emotionally resonant sound, Fugo Kid stood out for his raw authenticity and compelling stage presence. Drawing inspiration from leading UK artists such as Loyle Carner and Kofi Stone, his introspective lyricism and self-produced instrumentals reflect personal experiences, creating a sound that is both contemporary and deeply personal. His artistry is showcased in releases including his recent EP “UFOs.”

As part of his win, Fugo Kid will perform on Sunday 21st June opening the Main Stage, joining a world-class lineup featuring headliners including The Cure, Calvin Harris and Lewis Capaldi. The opportunity marks a significant milestone for the emerging artist, placing him on one of the UK’s most iconic festival stages.

“It was absolutely incredible with some incredible people by my side on that stage, I definitely couldn’t have done it without my band. Big props to all the other performers as well - they all did an amazing job. Being able to play the main stage means the world to me. Wight Noize has long been recognised as a platform for emerging talent on the Isle of Wight, with previous winners including The Optimists, Marnie Marie, Beth Brookfield and 5 Degrees North. The competition continues to provide a springboard for local artists, offering not only a high-profile live performance opportunity but also valuable exposure to industry professionals.

The 2026 final was judged by a panel of respected industry figures spanning live events, studio operations, radio and artist development. Judges included Dan Wavell, Marketing Manager at the Isle of Wight Festival; Lottie Field, Studio Operations Manager at Baltic Studios and former Wight Noize winner; Lewis Sinclair, Founder and Managing Director of Cygnus Music; Neil Treloar, Director of Touchpaper Music Services; and Steph Nieuwenhuys, Presenter and Co-Producer at BBC Introducing.

The event drew a strong local crowd, with audiences filling Strings Bar and Venue and creating a buzzing, supportive atmosphere throughout the evening - a testament to the Island’s thriving grassroots music scene.

With his Wight Noize win, Fugo Kid now joins a growing list of artists who have used the platform as a launchpad for their careers - and all eyes will be on his Isle of Wight Festival performance this summer.

It’s not just the live music either. Kidzone adventures, creative workshops, and space to roam and recharge mean there’s plenty for everyone.

Whether it’s their first time near a stage or those in-between moments watching the people they love laugh and let go, these are important.

Thousands of people bring their children every year. There's the obvious visit to Kidzone for the little ones, the allure of fairground rides for those slightly bigger and much more to discover in the venues around the site.

Cirque De La Quirk during the day will have ongoing art projects and face painting throughout the weekend, the smaller stages like River Stage & This Feeling where you can introduce them to the best up and coming artists, and places like Kashmir Café and the Intoxicated Tea Rooms where the tents are a visual treat and often space for a sit down in their gardens.

The 2026 programme is yet to be released but from Kidzone you can expect to be treated to:

BULL STAGE: Home to Magic Shows, Wake Up, Shake Up, Party Dances, Bubble Disco, and Kid Discos.

LIVING ROOM STAGE: A relaxed area for performances like Cheeko’s Rockstar Moment. Features a catwalk, costume try-ons, talent shows, and a fancy-dress competition.

STEAMSHIP CIRCUS: Returning this year with a big top and Geodesic Aerial Rig for circus workshops and performances.

MAKERS SHED: Offers creative crafts, sewing workshops, and cardboard creation with Shademakers UK for cardboard wars.

PEEKABOO: New toddler area featuring Music & Make, Toddler Chillout, and storytime on the biggest bed.

WILD PLAY: A muddy area with a mud kitchen and creative play space by Lizzie's Way.

SENSORY SPACE: A dedicated quiet area with sights, sounds, textures, and scents for children with additional needs.

Galactic Glamour & Space Oddities is a celebration of the strange, the stylish and the spectacularly otherworldly – from classic sci-fi invaders and cosmic adventurers to futuristic glam, retro space-age kitsch and starlit disco queens.

If you want to enter our fancy dress parade, make sure to touchdown at Cirque de la Quirk on Saturday at 3PM!

Dust off your silver jumpsuits, throw on the sequins and create some celestial swagger – whether you fancy spending the day as a friendly extraterrestrial, a chrome-clad time traveller or something not yet discovered by science. Martians, astronauts, galactic guardians and mysterious visitors from another galaxy are all welcome.

Expect metallics. Expect neon. Expect inflatable UFOs and the occasional bit of cosmic chaos.

On Saturday 20 June, global superstar Rita Ora will take to the main stage. Taking the third spot from the top on Saturday's bill, the chart-topping singer will perform ahead of a massive evening featuring Calvin Harris.

Also joining the 2026 roster are indie-rock favorites Circa Waves and the powerhouse collaboration of Nathan Evans & The Saint PHNX Band. The announcement is completed by rising star Tom A. Smith, indie quartet Overpass, and The Guest List, further cementing a line-up that celebrates both legends and the future of music.

We've won a Musos Award

Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival was honoured with yet another accolade last night, receiving the 2026 Musos Festival Award.

The award, presented during a ceremony at Electric Ballroom in Camden celebrating the best of the UK music scene, recognises the festival’s unique ability to deliver performances by world-class indie artists alongside some of the biggest names in music.

The win comes as the festival enters a busy 2026 season, having recently highlighted its ongoing commitment to the next generation of talent. The festival continues to champion both Hot Vox and their New Blood initiative, as well as the Wight Noize competition, which in 2026 will once again give emerging artists based on the island the life-changing opportunity to open the iconic Main Stage. This long-standing initiative, in partnership with Platform One, remains a cornerstone of the festival’s mission to support the grassroots circuit alongside its blockbuster headliners.

To celebrate the 25th anniversary of Platform One, eligibility for Wight Noize applicants has been expanded to artists aged 16-30, opening the Main Stage dream to a wider range of artists. 2025 winners 5 Degrees North described the experience as “such an incredible experience… To anyone thinking of applying - never get disheartened and just give it a shot!”

Applications for emerging artists to enter the Wight Noize competition are now open.

Speaking about the MUSOs award, John Giddings said:

“Coming from the MUSOs, this means a lot because it recognises the specific atmosphere we work so hard to create. We want the Isle of Wight to be a place where you can see a legendary act and then walk across the field with your family to discover the next big thing. We love what we do, and we truly appreciate the people who make the journey over the Solent to celebrate with us.”

After accepting the award, Giddings returned to the stage later that evening to surprise Mikey Jonns with a special award honoring his tireless dedication to championing grassroots artists through the This Feeling stage.

There was also success for Festival favourites, the This Feeling graduates, The K's as lead guitarist Ryan Breslin picked up the guitar award, Sam Birchall from The Lilacs was awarded a survivors prize after successfully fighting off cancer in 2025, and The Clause won best album for their debut Victim of a Casual Thing.

The 2026 festival is set to be one of its biggest yet, with a lineup featuring Lewis Capaldi, Calvin Harris, and The Cure, alongside Wet Leg, The Kooks, The Ks, Tom Grennan, Sex Pistols featuring Frank Carter, The Last Dinner Party and many more.

Platform One Marks 25 Years with Expanded Wight Noize 2026 - Giving Emerging Artists the Chance to Open a day of Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival Main Stage

The dream of opening the main stage at the Festival could become a reality for emerging musicians across the Island, as Platform One announces the return of Wight Noize 2026, with applications opening on Monday 9th February.

Celebrating 25 years of Platform One, this year’s showcase introduces expanded eligibility for artists and bands aged 16-30, opening the opportunity to a wider creative community and alumni. The change reflects Platform One’s long-standing mission to nurture Island talent at every stage of its journey while marking a significant milestone in the organisation’s history.

Since its inception, Wight Noize and the partnership with the Festival has helped emerging artists transform local momentum into major live opportunities, and is now established as one of the UK’s longest-running grassroots music initiatives.

Designed to support performers creating original music on the Isle of Wight, Wight Noize invites applicants to submit audio, video and examples of their online presence. The initiative aims to identify artists ready to take meaningful steps into the industry, offering invaluable exposure to a professional industry panel and large-scale festival audience.

Last year’s winner 5 Degrees North joins an impressive alumni list that includes Beth Brookfield, Marnie Marie, and The Optimists.

Winning Wight Noize and playing mainstage was the biggest honour of our lives. It was such an incredible experience which bands usually only get to experience when they are extremely established musicians. We never thought we would win - it took us two years (of applying) but the end goal was something that would usually take musicians many years to achieve. To anyone thinking of applying - never get disheartened and just give it a shot!

Applications close on Friday 27th March, with shortlisted artists invited to perform at a live industry showcase at Strings Bar & Venue on Wednesday 15th April, where a panel of music professionals will select one act to open the festival’s main stage. Runners-up will also be offered performance opportunities on the popular Platform One Stage.

Platform One has been involved in Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival since its rebirth in 2002. Opportunities for young musicians at the festival have evolved each year thanks to the commitment of John Giddings, who is one of Platform One’s patrons

The Cure win their first Grammy in 50-year career

Having been together for over half a century, 2026 marks another significand landmark in The Cure's career as they picked up 2 Grammy awards at the ceremony in LA last night.

The legendary band, and 2026 Sky presents Isle of Wight Festival headliner, won prizes for 'Best Alternative Music Album for Songs of a Lost World, and 'Best Alternative Music Performance' for Alone.

Songs of a Lost World marked the 14th studio release from the band, but the first in 16 years, and has also seen the band nominated for Album of the Year, Group of the Year, and Alternative/Rock Act at the 2025 Brit awards.

Their performance at Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival 2026 will be the first opportunity to see them in the UK in 2026.

IOW2026 Second Announce 4x5 260126

Northern Irish indie legends Two Door Cinema Club return to the festival following a massive year of global touring. Known for their infectious guitar hooks and dance-floor fillers like ‘What You Know’ and ‘I Can Talk’, the band remains one of the most consistent and beloved live acts in the UK. Joining them are fellow countrymen Ash, celebrating over 30 years of anthemic rock hits including ‘Girl From Mars’ and ‘Shining Light’.

Former Little Mix star Perrie makes her highly anticipated solo Isle of Wight Festival debut. Since launching her solo career, Perrie has captivated fans with her powerhouse vocals and hit singles ‘Forget About Us’ and ‘Tears’, proving her status as one of the UK's premier pop vocalists.

Bringing the party to the island is multi-BRIT Award nominated DJ and producer Joel Corry. With a string of huge hits including ‘Head & Heart’ and ‘OUT OUT’, Joel is set to deliver one of the biggest dance sets of the weekend. Also joining the party is the world's first time-travelling dance party, Hot Dub Time Machine, who will take festival-goers on a chronological journey through the greatest hits of all time.

High-octane indie icons Maxïmo Park also join the bill. The band are currently in the midst of celebrating the 20th anniversary of their seminal debut album A Certain Trigger.

The festival also welcomes the meteoric rise of Good Neighbours. The duo, who became global sensations with their multi-platinum debut single ‘Home’, will bring their "indie-euphoric" sound to the stage.

Adding to the wave of fresh British talent, rising star Alessi Rose has been announced as well as Doncaster-born singer-songwriter Freddie Halkon.

The IOW 2026 lineup also welcomes rising indie stars The K’s, who have been selling out venues across the country and hit number 1 with last year’s album, Pretty On The Internet, and the ethereal sounds of Scottish post-punk icons The Twilight Sad.

Also included in today’s announcement are some of the most exciting new voices in music: the disco-infused pop of the BRITS’ Critics’ Choice Award shortlisted Rose Gray, LA-based duo Voilà. Designed to uncover the UK’s best emerging talent, the competition has become a vital stepping stone for grassroots artists hoping to break into the industry and perform on one of the country’s most iconic festival stages.

Run by Hot Vox, one of the UK’s leading grassroots music promotion companies, the New Blood Competition gives rising artists a genuine platform to be seen and heard. With thousands of musicians applying each year, the competition continues to grow in scale and reputation, offering unparalleled opportunities for new talent across the UK.

What to Expect in 2026

The 2026 edition promises an expanded programme of Live Heats and Online Voting. Artists will have several pathways to progress, with each live round sending forward two acts. One chosen by a panel of industry judges, and one voted for by the audience.

6 Grammy Nominations for Next Year's Line-up

Three major artists on next year’s Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival lineup have received nominations for the 68th annual Grammy Awards. The Cure, Wet Leg and Teddy Swims received a total of six nominations between them.

Isle of Wight natives Wet Leg played their first ever gig at the festival in 2019. Next year will mark the band’s fourth appearance at the festival throughout their meteoric rise. Their album ‘moisteurizer’ has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Alternative Music Album Award’ and ‘Best Album Cover’, as well as ‘Best Alternative ‘Music Performance’ for ‘mangetout’.

It is not the first time Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers have enjoyed Grammy recognition. In 2023 they picked up the ‘Best Alternative Music’ award for their self-titled debut album and ‘Best Alternative Music Performance’ for ‘Chaise Longue’.

The Cure, who will close the festival as Sunday’s headliners, returned last year with their first new album in sixteen years, the critically acclaimed ‘Songs of a Lost World’. The band picked up two nominations for ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ and ‘Best Music Performance’ for the song ‘Alone’. Robert Smith and co have previously been nominated in the ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ category for ‘Wish’ and ‘Bloodflowers’.

Teddy Swims will make his Isle of Wight Festival debut next year. The Atlanta singer, who broke through with 2023’s hit “Lose Control”, is nominated for ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ for his sophomore effort, ‘I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2)’. He was previously nominated in the ‘Best New Artist’ category.

BRING YOUR CAR ON THE FERRY

There are 3 routes available if you come by car (make sure to also buy a parking permit along with your Festival ticket) - Portsmouth to Fishbourne & Lymington to Yarmouth run by Wightlink, and Southampton to East Cowes operated by Red Funnel.

The best prices can be found by choosing your dates and times carefully, maybe consider coming over a day early and booking a B&B for the night? Check out accommodation on the Island on the Visit Isle of Wight website.

Make sure to book early with Wightlink, so you can lock in your preferred crossing time at the best price.

Red Funnel still have some Early Bird Offer Fares left for Off-Peak dates (16, 17, 20, 21, 23, 24 June 2026), from £37.50 each way with a car.

LEAVE YOUR CAR AT HOME AND TRAVEL BY TRAIN, BOAT & BUS

If you leave your car at home and come on foot you can book on any of the three car routes above and enjoy a leisurely crossing with the added benefits of an on-board bar & coffee shop, or try one of three hi-speed services including a 10 minute "flight" by hovercraft!

The Red Funnel Red Jet service runs from Southampton to Cowes. If you come by train you can get on the free Quay Connect bus down to the ferry terminal. They are offering an Early Bird offer for foot passengers, which are £20 per person for a return.

Wightlink’s FastCat departs right from where the train drops you off at Portsmouth Harbour station, getting you to Ryde Pier on the Island within 22 minutes. Get a day return ticket for just £29.20 or pick up a period return ticket for £41.40.

Hovertravel operates the fastest passenger ferry route across the Solent from Southsea to Ryde, the unique hovercraft crossing takes just 10 minutes and the Hoverbus connects from all Portsmouth stations with every Hovercraft service. Book your train journey to Ryde Hoverport which include you train, hoverbus and hovercraft ticket and railcard discounts are available too. If you have a rail through ticket to Ryde Hoverport reserve your chosen flight by completing the online reservation form.

Once on the Island the Southern Vectis shuttle bus service will be available to take you from the port direct to the Festival campsites.

Lewis Capaldi will headline the Main Stage Friday 19th June. The global superstar recently made a triumphant return to touring after two years away, before unveiling his soul-stirring anthem in ‘Something In The Heavens’, his 10th UK Top 10 single. Lewis’ return has already seen him bag a monumental sixth Number 1 single with his comeback track, ‘Survive’ to become the fastest selling single of 2025. Having just blazed through a sold-out 17-date UK arena tour to unanimous critical acclaim, Lewis continues to command phenomenal demand and reaffirm his place among the world’s most powerful live performers.

On Saturday 20 June, Grammy Award-winning producer and DJ Calvin Harris will take over the main stage, bringing a catalogue of global hits, including ‘We Found Love’ (with Rihanna), ‘Feel So Close’, and ‘Giant’ (with Rag’n’Bone Man).

The weekend will close with rock and indie icons The Cure as Sunday’s headliners. The enigmatic band returned last year with their first new album in sixteen years, ‘Songs of a Lost World’, which was met with critical acclaim. Over the course of a career spanning more than 45 years, the band have produced classic pop songs such as ‘Boys Don’t Cry’, ‘A Forest’, ‘Just Like Heaven’, ‘Lullaby’ and ‘Friday I’m In Love’, and some of the most influential albums in modern music, including ‘Seventeen Seconds’, ‘Pornography’, ‘Kiss Me Kiss Me Kiss Me’, ‘Disintegration’ and ‘Wish’.

British indie heroes, The Kooks, ‘Suddenly I See’ hitmaker KT Tunstall and 80s icon Rick Astley, will all play the main stage, along with Teddy Swims, who makes his Isle of Wight Festival debut. The US star broke through with the smash hit ‘Lost Control’ in 2023 before bagging a Grammy Award nomination this year for Best New Artist and putting in a stunning performance at the event. ‘Lose Control’ recently made history, becoming the first song to spend 100 weeks in the Billboard Top 100.

Two-time Grammy Award-winning Isle of Wight natives, Wet Leg, will make their homecoming on the main stage, treating fans to songs from their UK No.1 second album, ‘Moisteurizer’.

Away from the main stage, Tom Grennan will headline the festival’s Big Top, following the release of his UK Number One album, ‘Everywhere I Went, Led Me to Where I Didn’t Want to Be’. The legendary Sex Pistols promise to bring a raucous set to the tent, while Liverpudlian rising star Luvcat will also play, along with Jo Whiley’ 90s anthems.

Also announced are London-based indie/baroque-pop stars The Last Dinner Party. The Brit Award-winning five-piece will bring their stunning live show to the island.

British singer-songwriter David Gray will also play. In January, Gray released his first album in four years ‘Dear Life’, receiving praise from The Telegraph who declared the album a ‘brooding triumph’.

Pop icon Anastacia has also been revealed. The Chicago-born star is currently celebrating the 25th anniversary of her debut, ‘Not That Kind’.

Welsh rockers Feeder will make their return to the festival, delighting fans with anthems, ‘Buck Rogers’ and ‘Just The Way I’m Feeling’.

The long-awaited return of FIVE was announced in February, giving a new generation of fans of the boy band the chance to hit classic pop tunes including 'Keep On Movin', 'Everybody Get Up' and 'When The Lights Go Out'.

With Britpop having something of a revival, what better time to catch Shed Seven's Rick Witter leading the singalong of the likes of 'Chasing Rainbows' and 'Going For Gold'.

After forming in the wake of Britpop, songsmiths Starsailor ('Silence Is Easy', 'Four To The Floor' and 'WayTo Fall') brought elegant and uplifting melodies to the charts.

With sophisticated and challenging pop tunes like 'Luka' and 'Tom's Diner', Suzanne Vega emerged from the New York scene of the mid-80s as one of the finest songwriters of her generation.

Speaking about the festival’s 2026 line-up, festival director Caroline Giddings said:

“It might be our best line-up yet. It’s my favourite so far, at least. We’re proud to put the future of music and current stars on a bill alongside artists like The Cure and the Sex Pistols, who helped lay the foundation of pop culture.”

She added: “The festival has always been an extension of the Isle of Wight’s rich cultural history. From Lewis Carroll and Tennyson to Julia Margaret Cameron, the island has been a source of inspiration for artists through time. We always try to honour that by presenting the very best music has to offer, giving people an unforgettable festival experience in the process."

Celebrating our 10 year partnership with This Feeling as they continue to break new artists at the Festival

An extensive array of some of the UK’s brightest breaking talent have played the This Feeling stage across the past 10 years, long before they broke through, and for many it was the first festival they played. Bands include The K's, Red Rum Club, Crawlers, The Royston Club, Billy Lockett, The Amazons, Yonaka, Dylan John Thomas, The Sherlocks, The Clause, The Lilacs, The Kairos, Rianne Downey, Seb Lowe, Overpass, Trampolene, Pastel, Crystal Tides, Andrew Cushin, Himalayas, Sophie & the Giants, Calva Louise, and many more.

Discussing the festival’s partnership with This Feeling, festival promoter John Giddings says "This Feeling are the best in the business when it comes to finding new artists and propelling them upwards. Discussing the inspiration behind This Feeling festival stages, Mikey Jonns continues “When I was a student in Sheffield I managed a band and despite consistently ramming venues, often supporting signed “industry” acts when doing so, they couldn’t catch a break at festivals. So when John Giddings gave me the chance to host a stage at the Isle of Wight Festival in 2015 I knew what I wanted to do; give acts who impressed and did well for This Feeling at their local grassroots venues the opportunity to show what they could do at a major festival. And that’s what we’ve done ever since. Since 2015 we have given over 1000 acts from ALL over the UK (and world!) an opportunity at major festivals including the Isle of Wight Festival, Truck, Y Not, TRSMT, Tramlines, The Great Escape and Reading & Leeds. Over 900 of them didn’t have a live agent at the time and for many it was their first ever festival performance. This year is our 10th anniversary on the island including one “virtual” festival stage during Covid. I’m so proud of this tent and what it represents and very grateful to everyone who’s helped along the way.”

Sky announced as our new headline partner
