Plastic Cup Recycling

Posted on June 21, 2018

We want Isle of Wight festival goers to have a great time and to enjoy quality beers and ciders, served safely and to a high standard. But we understand the impact this can have on the environment. That is why HEINEKEN and the Isle of Wight Festival are proud to partner together to explore new ways to introduce an effective cup collection scheme, to improve the recycle rates across the festival site. With the support of industry experts Closed Loop and Plastico, for the first time we will be introducing a cup deposit scheme. With the option available to recycle at site, we are asking attendees to help us to help the planet, and please return cups when visiting the bar to enjoy our fantastic selection of beers and ciders.

For every cup returned, you’ll save 10p. Cups that are returned or we collect from the across the site, will be recycled and then repurposed by HEINEKEN for packaging and products used within their business.
