2022 Charity Ballot
2022 BALLOT NOW CLOSED - SUCCESSFUL APPLICANTS WILL BE CONTACTED SOON
After the success of previous years our local charity initiative returns. Local charities and good causes on the island are invited to apply for tickets to cinch presents the Isle of Wight Festival 2022 to use in their fundraising activities via our ballot system.
20 pairs of tickets are available; with organisations able to apply up until midnight Sunday 3rd April 2022 with a brief explanation of what they intend to do with the tickets for the benefit of their charity or good cause.
This local initiative continues the great work the Festival has done with island charities and good causes over the years, including supporting Mountbatten, The Wave Project, Ryde Inshore Rescue, UKSA, Ability Dogs 4 Young People and St Catherine's School amongst many others.
As Festival Owner, John Giddings, says:
"I’m delighted to announce that the Isle of Wight Festival is bringing back its charity initiative for 2022. We really hope it will give local island charities a chance to raise much needed funds, particularly after the very tough past year. There are so many fantastic charities on the island and I’m looking forward to reading all the applications."
Clare Griffin (Centre Manager - West Wight Sports & Community Centre which received tickets through the ballot in 2021) said:
"Thank you for donating festival tickets to our charity. We have raffled them to help us keep the West Wight Sports & Community Centre open. We have swimming pools, a gym and exercise studios, which are used by people from the West Wight area and further afield. We also support the mental well-being of isolated and vulnerable people in our community, by holding regular events where people can make friends and receive support.
Fundraising is an on-going challenge and your support has been gratefully received."
If you're based on the island, you can enter the ballot to be in with a chance of winning a pair to use in your fundraising activities. We hope that this will help you raise awareness and the profile of your charity.
