Three major artists on next year’s Sky presents the Isle of Wight Festival lineup have received nominations for the 68th annual Grammy Awards. The Cure, Wet Leg and Teddy Swims received a total of six nominations between them.

Isle of Wight natives Wet Leg played their first ever gig at the festival in 2019. Next year will mark the band’s fourth appearance at the festival throughout their meteoric rise. Their album ‘moisteurizer’ has been shortlisted for the ‘Best Alternative Music Album Award’ and ‘Best Album Cover’, as well as ‘Best Alternative ‘Music Performance’ for ‘mangetout’.

It is not the first time Rhian Teasdale and Hester Chambers have enjoyed Grammy recognition. In 2023 they picked up the ‘Best Alternative Music’ award for their self-titled debut album and ‘Best Alternative Music Performance’ for ‘Chaise Longue’.

The Cure, who will close the festival as Sunday’s headliners, returned last year with their first new album in sixteen years, the critically acclaimed ‘Songs of a Lost World’. The band picked up two nominations for ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ and ‘Best Music Performance’ for the song ‘Alone’. Robert Smith and co have previously been nominated in the ‘Best Alternative Music Album’ category for ‘Wish’ and ‘Bloodflowers’.

Teddy Swims will make his Isle of Wight Festival debut next year. The Atlanta singer, who broke through with 2023’s hit “Lose Control”, is nominated for ‘Best Pop Vocal Album’ for his sophomore effort, ‘I’ve Tried Everything but Therapy (Part 2)’. He was previously nominated in the ‘Best New Artist’ category.
